The borough has teamed up with Jenkinson's to increase police and security presence, put out more trash cans and even revived an old ad campaign: "a nice place for nice people."
You are encouraged to have as much fun as possible this summer at the Jersey Shore but are reminded that there rules to follow for everyone's health and safety.
A Need We Feed is a fantastic organization that helps feed the hungry here at the Jersey Shore and now you can help by attending a benefit dinner in June in Point Pleasant Beach
This weekend was the perfect introduction to the upcoming Jersey Shore summer. Temperatures were in the 70s, the sun was shining, and I saw nothing but smiling faces. Most importantly, it was wonderful seeing local businesses energized and ready to assist customers for the upcoming months. It's pretty obvious that this summer is going to be filled with tremendous opportunities... ENJOY IT & TAKE ADVANTAGE!
Would you like to zip around Point Pleasant Beach on a scooter? If you live there, will this bug you? I can see both sides. I'm always there on day visits so I love the idea but I can imagine residents will find it annoying.
A Newark man faces seven years in prison after pleading guilty to Aggravated Assault after he stabbed two men on Jenkinson's Beach in Point Pleasant Beach
My Saturday was fantastic, it was the perfect start to the month of May. I was drinking margaritas and eating tasty Mexican food on the legendary Jenkinson's Boardwalk. The weather was great, the boardwalk was beautiful, and I felt a pep in everyone's step. You can tell the Jersey Shore is ready to have a tremendous summer.
Let's rewind back to October of 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic canceled my sister's destination wedding plans so she and now my brother-in-law took full advantage of what the Jersey Shore has to offer. Their wedding took place on Point Pleasant Beach just yards away from Jenkinson's Boardwalk. We were fortunate to have a beautiful October day. After they were pronounced husband and wife, we spent the rest of the night celebrating on the River Queen.
This life we live can throw you unique twists and turns, especially when we are living in a pandemic. Situations we face can be for the better or worse and we simply never know what the future holds. It's a crazy world but one thing the COVID-19 pandemic has taught me is that spending quality time with loved ones is extremely important. In a strange way, laughing and surrounding yourself with the people you care about is just another step in the right direction to defeating COVID-19.
