It's an all-too-familiar story. Kids start experimenting with drugs and alcohol in middle or junior high school, and by the time they finish high school they've started using harder drugs and eventually get hooked on heroin.
The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office fight against heroin continues with another drug forum next month, expected to be powerful enough to get younger audience members wanting to continue the discussion, according to Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Anthony V. Pierro.
In the ongoing effort to raise awareness about Ocean County's heroin epidemic, Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato is holding another forum, "Can We Talk? Are You Listening?" on Tuesday, October 22, at Pinelands Regional High School.
Law Enforcement Prevention and the Medical Community are joining forces to discuss solutions to New Jersey's prescription drug and heroin abuse epidemic during statewide symposiums being held this week in Ocean, Camden and Morris Counties.
