Shore School Bus Driver Faces Child Endangerment Charges

A bus driver for Monmouth County's Ocean Township Intermediate School facing child endangerment counts awaits court action.

Laura Gardner, 42, was charged by Ocean Township police after a complaint filed by an 11-year-old May 11. The student reported being pinched.

Police say that further investigation elicited similar reports from five more students.

Gardner was released pending a hearing. She's employed by Middletown-based Loori Bus Company. Managers there were unavailable for comment at the time of this posting.
