Lacey has been waiting for so long now to be discovered that we fear she's just about given up! This beautiful girl of 4 1/2 years old came to us back in November, 2016 from our Newark facility when she was found as a stray. Her owners were located but they said that since they had a faulty fence, they were going to get rid of Lacey instead of just fixing it. Lacey was quite thin and neglected upon arrival so she's much better off. She is plump, healthy and happy now, and is such a doll. Lacey has become a staff and volunteer favorite and when Lacey sees one of her friends passing by, she can't control her rear-end from wiggling with delight! She positively loves those that she gets close with, but she is a little leery of new people and a bit head shy. Once she knows you, you're pals for life. Lacey was adopted out briefly but was returned for not liking an older gentleman in the home, so she will need a home where she can take her time to get to know everyone. She will also need a home with no cats but if she is given the opportunity to meet a dog her size several times, she could live peacefully with another dog. She is polite, well mannered, playful and loving, and so deserving of a great home with a family that will spoil her.
