The road was initially closed in both directions around 9 a.m. between Texas Road and Union Hill Road as the New Jersey State Police bomb squad and Marlboro Police sent a robot to inspect the package at the bus stop at Route 520 according to the Asbury Park Press.

New Jersey Fast Traffic's Bob Williams said the sudden closure caused long delays around the area as drivers tried to get around the closure.

The package turned out to be an ammunition can filled with tools according to NJ.com. An investigation into the incident continues.
