Pepper Spray Incident at Freehold High School

A noxious odor from a student discharging pepper spray outside the cafeteria of Freehold Township High School prompted a call to local health officials, according to a news release from the school. 

No students or staff were directly sprayed this morning during the incident shortly before 8:30 a.m.. Any students or staff that were in the area received appropriate medical treatment.

The affected area was cleared and air quality samples were taken.

Normal classes resumed about two hours later.
