MORE CLOSINGS IN BAYVILLE: Maureen’s Salon Out Of Business

Last week we told you that Blackbeard's Cave Arcade in Bayville will be closing their doors in the beginning of February. A place that became an icon in the town for more than a decade.

Even more sad news coming from Bayville this week. As I went into Circle K Plaza on Ocean Gate Drive and noticed that Maureen's Precision Cuts or more commonly known as Maureen's Salon was empty.

This was a place that my mom and dad used to take me as a kid to get my haircut... and I had great hair as a kid... as an adult... not so much.

I walked up to the building and looked inside. There where a few chairs, but other than that it was completely empty. The note read:

Maureen's Salon will be closing. Thank you for your years of loyal patronization. If you have gift certificates, give me a call at 240-577-8084 and I will honor them. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

We are unable to directly confirm when exactly the salon closed their doors officially, but it is still very sad for Bayvillians to see another local business shutter.
