There are so many women who help make the Jersey Shore a better place, and we're recognizing them as our Woman of the Week (WOW)!

This week, Sue and I had the pleasure of speaking with Joanne Glassoff - she is a Mom from Toms River, and the director of Monmouth County Kosher Meals on Wheels, who has been working nonstop to make sure seniors are fed during the pandemic. Her son Steven nominated her and had nothing but wonderful things to say about his Mom. Check out his nomination below:

I’m nominating my mom. She is the director of the Monmouth County Kosher Meals on Wheels. We live in Toms River but she commented every day to work to feed the in need seniors. Since Covid they have had to implement a ton of new procedures and she has just jumped into action without missing a beat putting the seniors first. When Covid started they did not miss 1 day of delivery and she knew if she did the seniors would go without food. She has been checking in with the seniors who she feeds to make sure they have everything they need even if it’s not good. She helps them get toilet paper and cleaning supplies if they can’t get to the store. I can’t think of a more deserving person to get WOMEN OF THE WEEK. Please help make this happen! She would be so greatful as she has not done anything for herself with all the work she’s been doing!!

We spoke with Steven about his Mom, and it's clear he's got nothing but love for her! Listen to our chat with Steven below:

Then, we got to tell Joanne the good news - she was so excited, and she had just as many amazing things to say about Steven as he did about her:

Joanne - thanks for all of the incredible things you do to make our community a better place! We are proud to honor you as this week's Woman of the Week (WOW)!

If you know a woman in your life who goes above and beyond to make Ocean County a better place, nominate them as our next Woman of the Week (WOW)!
