From Superheroes to Beach Concerts: Jenkinson’s Boardwalk August Event Lineup

Summer's waning, but the family fun at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach is still going strong! Here are all the details you need on the concerts on the beach, animal educational shows, fireworks at dark, unlimited ride wristband promotions, and more.

Oldies Nights – 95th Anniversary Concert Series

Next events: 6-7 p.m. Aug. 9, 16 and 30 

There are a limited number of beach chairs provided, so feel free to bring your own to enjoy The Cameos on Aug. 9, Stiletto & The Saxman on Aug. 16, and the Jukebox Legends on Aug. 30. They'll be at the South Beach Stage, directly in front of the Ride Park. The concerts are free and coincide with Grandparents Day, when grandparents can enjoy free rides and mini golf with a paying child admission from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays! Princess Palooza

Last appearance this summer: 7 p.m. Aug. 10 event canceled, rescheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 13

Princesses will take over the Pavilion Beach Stage with singing and dancing for a third time this summer. The stage is on the beach directly in front of the Aquarium, and families are welcome to stay for the fireworks show afterward. Click here to learn more.

Eyes of the Wild Animal Show

Three shows: 5:30 p.m., 6:15 p.m., and 7 p.m. Aug. 17 

Learn about respecting the environment and all its inhabitants during this fun and funny presentation for children and adults alike. You'll even experience up close and personal encounters with some of our planet’s most fascinating creatures on the Pavilion Beach Stage, located on the beach in front of the Aquarium. Hot Halloween

Boo! 3-7 p.m. Aug. 22 & 23

Dust off those costumes for the annual Hot Halloween, including crafts and strolling entertainment, Creepy Crawlers at the Jenkinson’s Aquarium, Spooky Storytime, live performance Halloween shows on the beach, character appearances, and much more! Stay for the weekly Movie on the Beach, which will be "Hocus Pocus". Marvel Superhero Meet & Greet

One day only: 4-9 p.m. Aug. 24

Straight from the pages of legendary comics, Spider-Man will be on the South Beach Stage (located on the beach directly in front of the Ride Park) and the Hulk will be on the Pavilion Beach Stage (located on the beach in front of the Aquarium). They'll be taking breaks every 30 minutes or so. You can stick around for the fireworks that start around 9:15 p.m., too! Click here to learn more.

3-Hour Unlimited Ride Wristband
