Americans are willing to give up a lot of things when it comes to saving a buck, but one thing they refuse to cut back on is the number of pets they own. According to APPA National Pet Owners, nearly 73 million households own at least one pet. APPA conducted a survey to see what kind of pet is most likely to bring comfort to Americans who tough it out during a rough economy.
