As the assistant program director at 92.7 WOBM, I have CDs come across my desk every day. Most of them go into a box never to be heard from again, but every now and then a gem comes through. A couple weeks ago I opened an envelope that had a neon green CD case with Kermit the Frog's face on the front. Turns out that it was "Muppets: The Green Album", the soundtrack to the upcoming Muppets movie, scheduled to hit theaters on November 23rd, with new artists covering Muppet classics. As a child of the 80s, I grew up with Kermit, Miss Piggy, and my favorite, Gonzo, so I was looking forward to checking the album out. Sure enough, I was transported back to my childhood with tracks like "The Muppet Show" theme, covered by OK Go, "Rainbow Connection" by Weezer and Hayley Williams from Paramore, and the one that really brought me back, The Fray covering "Mahna Mahna". Here's the original, I guarantee it'll be stuck in your head for the rest of the day:

You're welcome.
