As we highlighted on The Ocean County Breakfast Show, November's Flower of the Month is the Chrysanthemum, a popular bloom throughout the autumn with its rich yellow, rust and red tones and well known hardiness.

The national flower of Japan and symbol of the Emperor the Chrysanthemum is often used in ceremonies in Asian nations and is one of four noble plants in the Chinese culture which include, Plum Blossoms, Orchids and Bamboo.

While many use this featured flower of the month in centerpieces and other floral arrangements, the fall is a wonderful time of year to bring a bit of the outdoors in! Using the many great textures available like pumpkins, gourds, berries and leaves a beautiful table top garland is within everyone’s reach.
