Fall at the Jersey Shore – Soaking Up the Colors
This time of year is great for a drive, bike or walk
We’ve talked about it on the OCBS , the beautiful “Fall” colors here at the Jersey Shore …. but in the last week or so it really seems to have burst into full color ! As you make your way around Ocean and Monmouth Counties you can’t help but wanna stop and enjoy the colors of the season !
New Jersey Monthly Magazine has a series of stories this month dealing with “Fall Day Trips” around the state. Included is a story about a hike through the pine barrens. I took the camera out today and went for a ride through southern ocean county.
It’s times like today that I’m glad we live in the northeast! I wouldn’t want to live in a “one season” area like parts of Florida, Arizona or California for example … which do not experience the change of seasons. Fall may be my favorite! Pleasant temps, no bugs and lots of color!
Lotta great events happening around the State this time of year! One big “Fall” happening is the 29th Annual Chatsworth Cranberry Festival, which celebrates New Jersey’s fantastic cranberry bogs! If you have never been its this weekend October 20th & 21st GO!
Another event this Sunday is the Country Living Fair at Historic Batsto Village in Atlantic County ( Bring your camera ) Also this Saturday , October 20th … Clean Ocean Action is hosting “beach sweep clean-ups” through-out Monmouth-Ocean Counties! Help keep our beaches clean
of course don’t forget to join us for the Annual Making Strides Walk in Point Pleasant Beach this Sunday! As we continue Shawn & Sue’s “Pretty In Pink” 2012 ……
Have a great weekend and enjoy Autumn here in New Jersey
