Craft of the Month-Sue’s Mommy Blog

For the first five years I had a Mommy Blog about my daughter Abby’s life and what it was like for me as a first time Mommy. Now she’s a 9 year old diva and I’ve decided to bring back the Mommy blog. Her life and what she does is just so funny, it’s too funny not to talk about or write about! It’s time to share our adventures with you again. Wow, I can't believe she's 9. Time flies.

Abby loves doing crafts, so I asked my friends at Smart Start Academy to send over a "Craft of the Month" for us to do. Abby will make the craft, maybe some neighborhood friends and maybe even the Mom's will get involved. It will be fun! Then you can do it at home with your kids or grand-kids! Have fun with this!

Spring is this week..nothing says Spring like tulips!

How about tulip painting with forks?

Materials:

white construction paper

green paint

4 or 5 paint colors of your choice I used pink, yellow, orange, purple, and blue

paint brush

4 or 5 forks

paper plate

-squeeze some of each paint onto the paper plate so you will have room to dip the bottom of the fork into the paint use one fork for each color paint

-take the different colored forks and press them onto the paper scattering the colors

-once you have painted all of the tulips you want approximately 6 use the paint brush in the green paint to paint grass, stems, and leaves

-let dry and hang somewhere everyone can enjoy it.
