Check These Fun Things to do in Ocean County Before Summer is Over

We are so lucky to live in an area where there are so many fun things to do!

I wanted to make a list of some of the great things I did this Summer and I hope you are able to do one or all of these things before Summer is over and kids are Back-to-School.

Breakwater Beach in Seaside Heights - It is a safe and fun place for the kids and small enough where you can keep your eyes on the kids while sitting in a chair (for the most part) of course the little, little ones you have to stay with....the lazy river is fantastic and the wave pool is the perfect size.

Watch a movie on the beach or a local park.  Several local beaches have movies on the beach weekly.

Go to a concert in the park.  Brick Summerfest is fantastic at Windward Beach.  Veteran's Park in Bayville has the Summer Concert Series.  These are fun and you might actually catch a fireworks display after the concert.

Watch the sunrise at your local beach.  It is extraordinary and the kids will love it.  I know they probably won't want to get up that early, but you all will be glad you did.  Then have breakfast together at a little café on the boardwalk.

How about a round of miniature golf?  We have the best courses here at the Shore.  Kids of any age love this, either competitive or not it's a fun family day or night out.

Visit one of our great farmer's markets.  The kids can taste some of the best "local" fruit and vegetables from the Jersey Shore.

Drive all the way to the end of Island Beach State Park, it's amazing.  Stop by each of the little pathways, park in one of the little lots along the way and check it out.  You will feel like it's your very own beach it's beautiful.  (careful though there are no life guards down these paths)

One of my most favorite things to do is ride my bike on the boardwalk.  I will go to different boardwalks in Ocean County in the morning (when I have off and on weekends) and ride from one end to another.  I love stopping for an orange juice or lemonade on our way.  To me there is nothing better.  My family and I love it!  If you don't have bikes, rent them, you'll love it.
