A Mount Holly man is accused of bludgeoning his girlfriend and her father to death inside the Washington Street home where they all lived, announced Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Mount Holly Police Chief Thomas F. Mastrangelo.

27-year-old Dennis Pozniak is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of 24-year-old Nicole Wilson and her father, 52-year-old Bryan Wilson, sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.

Autopsies performed by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood determined both victims suffered head trauma.

The motive is under investigation.

Police were called to the home Saturday morning by a family member who awoke and discovered the bodies. Pozniak was inside the residence at the time. He was taken to a hospital and treated for several laceration that were believed to be self-inflicted.

Pozniak is being held at a medical facility pending a psychiatric evaluation.

Bail was set at $1 million.
