Repairs Complete On George Washington Bridge

Emergency repairs on the George Washington Bridge have been completed but holiday travelers will have delays heading across the Hudson River.

An expansion joint on the upper level has been repaired but residual delays remain. Three lanes were taken up during the repair.

All lanes are available on the lower level.

NJ Transit says buses into the George Washington Bridge bus terminal are delayed by 20-40 minutes.

New Jersey 101.5 traffic anchor Bob Williams says drivers will want to consider the tunnels to get into the city.

If your holiday travels take you north of New York take the Parkway to the New York Thruway and the Tappan Zee Bridge into New England.
