Sammy has been undergoing cold laser treatments at the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital the past few days as part of his recovery. In a post on their Facebook page, the hospital explained that cold laser therapy "helps ease discomfort caused by the inflammation in his ears, and to promote healing."  He also continues to eat and drink on his own.

Kevin & Shauna Morgan, meanwhile, will appear in court on Wednesday to face multiple animal cruelty charges, each of which has a maximum six-month jail sentence and a $1,000 fine according to the Asbury Park Press.
