If you're not sure where the candidates in New Jersey's twelve Congressional races and one U-S Senate election stand on key issues, such as social security, medicare, and financial security, AARP sorts out the facts for you with its annual Voter Guides.

"It's about cutting through the political clutter, because during election season people are deluged with ads and opinions and a whole lot of stuff and they're really not getting what they need on the issues that they care about," said Brian McGuire, associate state director, AARP-NJ.

"AARP is nonpartisan. We don't support candidates. We don't endorse candidates. We don't have a political action committee. We don't give money to campaigns," noted McGuire.

AARP's priority is to make sure voters know where the candidates stand to help them cast the vote that they want to cast. The responses, which appear alongside AARP principles on each issue, consist of publicly available information and excerpts from candidate campaign sources. Before publishing the Voter Guides, candidates were afforded the opportunity to review their statements for any errors.

Voters of all ages may view the Voter Guides online by clicking "New Jersey" at www.aarp./yourvote or calling 888-687-2277.
