New Jersey decides, 2017....today we elect a governor, state lawmakers, county freeholders, municipal leaders and school board members.

There's also a couple referendum ballot questions today...Should the state borrow 125-million dollars to upgrade libraries?...and...Should the state constitution be amended to steer all proceeds from environmental damage settlements to repair, restore, replace or preserve natural resources near the sites?

For Monmouth County residents there's another question.

Should Monmouth's dedicated open space tax rise from a penny and a half to two and three quarter cents per hundred dollars of assessed property value?

Polling places are open six a-m to eight p-m today.

Racist flyers and mailers, which attacked New Jersey candidates for mayor and school board over the past week, need to be condemned in the strongest terms - according to a jersey advocacy group for equality.
