A forest fire continues to burn this morning in Wharton State Forest.

It's about a thousand acres wide.

Fire crews seem to have it contained northeast of Washington Township in Burlington County and no homes or properties are currently being threatened.

It's caused the heavy scent of smoke in Ocean County and the sheriff's office is asking you not to call 911 unless you see flames.

The father of murdered Keansburg resident 11-year-old Abbiegail "Abbie" Amith is hoping to be granted a visa so he can attend his daughter's funeral on Monday.

Kenroy Smith, who hasn't seen Abbie in three years, can't even imagine not being able to see his daughter one last time.

"Please don't say that...please...Oh my God...I don't know...I would stay...(weeping)...oh please...I don't know...I can't tell you what I would do," said Smith.

Smith was deported in 2001 on a drug charge but he wasn't permanently banned from returning to the United States.

Have you seen "Jeff"?...check our web or Facebook page for surveillance images of a man who allegedly stole a truck from a construction site on Lakehurst road in Toms River Tuesday night.

The suspect who mentions the name, "Jeff", on surveillance video drove the truck to town hall and left it there.

He will soon be stepping down as governor but in the meantime Chris Christie has been busy lately, talking about Jersey's improving economy.
