We will scream and yell with excitement when we welcome in 2021. As we welcome in 2021 this year will be different than any other year. We always had a party, playing games with friends, and toasting to a fabulous New Year. We will be social distancing this year with no party but we will be pulling the pans out.

Thank you to countryliving.com for some of these great resolutions:

Walk More in the New Year - Or, at least move a little bit more in 2021. Here are a couple of ideas for you - try parking at the back of the parking lot at the grocery store, or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Take a walk at lunchtime. If you work at a desk or from home, stand and walk in place. You'd be surprised, this works, and you'll feel better.

Support Local Restaurants and Businesses - We've seen businesses and restaurants close in Ocean County due to the pandemic. Make it a point in 2021 to support local businesses. They need us. What my family and I do is once a week, order out from a local restaurant. It's not a lot, but I feel I'm helping.

Drink More Water - This is something I have to do more of. I drink water, but not nearly enough. I will take a bottle of water with me, every time I leave the house. I need to drink it and I hope it doesn't end up on the floor in my car.

Quit Smoking - It is a habit, I get it. Quit smoking for yourself and your family.

P.S. I LOVE THIS ONE - Write Snail Mail - I think of my Mom because she loves getting letters in the mail. She doesn't get texts or emails, so this is perfect for her. I try to write her a letter once a week. If you can, try to mail someone a letter once a week. Put a stamp on it and mail it.

Happy, happy New Year. I'm ready for 2021.
