What Do You Do With Leftover Vacation Time?

Well, here we are, only about two weeks left in 2014, and a lot of us are trying to figure out what to do with that vacation time sitting there.

As much as I would love to take a week off, hop on a plane and go somewhere fun, interesting, and exotic, that's not going to happen.

But, I have a bunch of vacation time that will be expiring at the end of the year.

What to do?

Honestly, I don't see much of a point in sitting at home for a week. Sure, day trips are great, but sometimes it doesn't make sense to go somewhere just for the sake of going somewhere. And, with the challenges of a pet who can't be left home alone for too long, I have to keep the day trips manageable.

So, I figure I'll take a long weekend here and there, relax a little bit, get some stuff done around the house, get the holiday shopping done, and not let all of that vacation time go to waste.
