Warren Hills cancels classes Thursday during services for Evan Murray
As members of the Warren Hills community continue to mourn the loss of high school quarterback Evan Murray, the school district notified residents Tuesday afternoon that classes at the middle and high schools will be closed all day Thursday, while funeral services are held for the teen.
According to one parent, residents received an automated call announcing the school closure. A large number of students and faculty members are expected to attend Thursday's funeral services.
A notice on the high school's website states that "Warren Hills Regional Middle and High Schools will be CLOSED to accommodate local road closings and all appropriate and unforeseen needs on Thursday, October 1, 2015."
Murray’s visitation at Faith Discovery Church in Warren is scheduled for noon to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by a funeral at the church Thursday at 11 a.m.
