Police in Wall Township have arrested a man who was allegedly using a slingshot to throw glass and steel at people's cars on Tuesday.

The first victim told police that they were heading east on Allaire Road around 5:15 pm when his rear passenger window was shattered.

The second victim told police that they were stopped at the intersection of Belmar Boulevard around 5:30 pm near State Highway 35 when her front passenger window was shattered.

The third victim told police that their car was in a parking lot off Belmar Boulevard around 7:40 pm when their front window was shattered.

There are no injuries being reported from the incidents.

Wall Police arrested Mark Shatkus, 35, around 10:44 pm in relation to an investigation of someone driving a sport utility vehicle and striking vehicles.

Shatkus was charged with third degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; third degree Criminal Attempt; third degree Aggravated Assault; forth degree Possession of Prohibited Weapon; forth degree Criminal Mischief; disorderly person Commit Unauthorized Act During Threat of Emergency; petty disorderly persons offense Obstructing Highways and Other Public Passages.

He was then transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold Township.
