Walk For Turtles to benefit Project Terrapin and Popcorn Park Zoo

BAYVILLE – Project Terrapin’s second annual Walk for Turtles will take place on Saturday, May 11th 2019 at John C. Bartlett Jr. Park.

Proceeds from the walk will benefit Project Terrapin and the Popcorn Park Zoo. Walkers will enjoy a stroll along the beautiful and scenic Barnegat Bay, family activities such as corn hole and bocce, food and bake sale items, and the opportunity to meet valued partners of the project.

According to Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey, “Habitat loss, illegal trapping, mortality from being drowned in crab traps, and road mortality all pose major threats to their long term survival.”

The recommended donations for adults to participate in the walk is $5 and $3 for children.
