Newly-reelected Ocean County Freeholder Joe Vicari isn't willing to forgive and forget when it comes to allegations made by his defeated challenger Tim Ryan during the recent campaign.

Vicari has filed a civil suit against Ryan and several others, citing libel, defamation, and slander and claiming that Ryan deliberately lied to the voters of Ocean County in his effort to win the office of Freeholder. The suit also names Ryan's political informant Bill Santos, his Campaign Treasurer Alice Santangelo, and political marketing firm Vision Media and its director, Paul Swibinski as defendants.
