Update – Starved Dog That Was Rescued Is Ready For Adoption
You might remember the story of "Reese" from about three weeks ago.
A mother and daughter spotted the starved dog on the streets of Paterson and called Animal Control to come to the pit bull's aid.
The images of the emaciated dog were shocking, as officials said that the animal that should weigh at least 50 pounds only registered a stunning 17 pounds.
Thankfully, a few weeks later, Reese's story is much more uplifting, as the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge shared this update with the great news that they've begun the process of finding a forever home for Reese:
The shelter outlines the fact that Reese is an animal who endured terrible abuse and will need a quiet home with lots of love and patience.
