Two Atlantic City men have been charged for their connection to two recent and unrelated murders that occurred within this Atlantic County community.

In both cases, the murder charges and investigative information was announced by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Lester Robinson, 26, of Atlantic City has been charged for murdering 26-year-old Malihah McLaughlin of Atlantic City on early Sunday morning around 1:09 am along South Bellevue Avenue, according to a joint investigation between the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and Atlantic City Police.

McLaughlin was found unresponsive by Atlantic City Police suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.

Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small vowed justice for the family who lost another loved one to gun violence and murder five years to the month after Malhiah's brother Michael was killed when he was just 17-years-old.

Lester Robinson of Atlantic City has been charged for killing Malikah McLaughlin with Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Certain Persons Not To Possess Weapons, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose.

Robinson was arrested on Wednesday and will remain in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

In a separate and unrelated case announced by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, 32-year-old George Harrell of Atlantic City has been arrested and charged for stabbing Dwight Hutchinson who died on June 5 along North Kentucky Avenue in Atlantic City.

Atlantic City Police found Hutchinson unresponsive and lying on the ground around 2:20 pm that day and said that medical personnel was unable to revive him.

Atlantic County Prosecutor's said that the autopsy ruled Hutchinson died as a result of a stab wound to the chest and the manner in which he died was indeed a homicide.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit and Atlantic City Police are investigating this stabbing and homicide as well.

George Harrell is charged with Murder, Felony Murder, Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose.

Atlantic County Prosecutor's said that Harrell is currently pending extradition from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
