MANALAPAN - Manalapan Police are in search of a robber who held up a CVS on Woodward Road in Manalapan. Police say a caucasian male approximately 6 foot two entered the store at 1AM and threatened the cashier with a gun. He made off with about $470 dollars in cash. Police are asking that anyone with information contact them at 732.446.4300.

TOMS RIVER - The Boys Scouts of Troop 30 are honored tonight by the Toms River Council and Mayor for their work in the Red Ribbon campaign. The community awareness program partnered them with local police to raise awareness about drug and alcohol abuse.

TRENTON - The Foodbank Of Monmouth And Ocean County will be getting a peice of $1.3millionin funding to food pantries throughout the state. Close to $150,000 will be going to the Foodbank as part of the Department Of Agriculture’s state food purchase program which allots money on a quarterly basis. The program is also joined by the Department Of Health And Senior Services which also deals with hunger state wide in it's "Shaping New Jersey" program.

TOMS RIVER - A Toms River man has pleaded guilty to lesser charges stemming from the death of an American Idol contestant best known for her rant when she was rejected in the seventh season. Daniel Bark pleaded guilty to eluding police and drunken driving on Monday under a plea agreement. Prosecutors will dismiss aggravated manslaughter and other charges in the 2009 accident that claimed the life of Alexis Cohen of Pennsylvania. The 25-year-old's body was found on a road in Seaside Heights.

WALL - The cause of a fire in Wall Township is currently under investigation. Monday's blaze destroyed the home on Windfield Road. Two dogs were removed safely. No one was injured. Investigators say it doesn't seem to be suspicious.

TRENTON (AP) -- A state appeals panel is being asked to stop next week's black bear hunt. Animal protection groups will argue today the state's Comprehensive Bear Management Policy is flawed. The policy includes the annual hunt. The state maintains a hunt is necessary to manage the black bear population.

PARAMUS (AP) -- The state's largest community college has been warned its accreditation may be in jeopardy. The Record newspaper reports the interim president at Bergen Community College has called an emergency faculty meeting for this afternoon.

MOUNT HOLLY (AP) -- A former municipal court official is facing charges she stole payments made to the court. Burlington County prosecutors say Tracey Verduchi used cash bail payments for her own personal expenses. She was a deputy court administrator for Florence Township.

TRENTON - A Central jersey mortgage broker faces up to 20 years in prison at his February sentencing for conspiring to extort money and property by telling victims that they were subjects of IRS criminal probes. In Trenton, Robert Cusic of Millstone admitted that he, attorney Thomas Frey and an uncharged co-conspirator demanded $20,000 from each, including two police officers, to have the supposed probes downgraded to desk audits and threatening them with arrest if they didn't comply.

TRENTON - Add three more qualifiers at the shore to New Jersey's Clean Marina Program. Munro's in Tuckerton, Long Key in Waretown and Curtin Marina in Burlington bring to 45 the number of dock sites meeting environmentally-conscious standards set by the DEP's Office Of Coastal Management and the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium. It's promoted nationally by The National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration.
