Thursday storm causes tree to fall on top of Middletown home
The strong wind gusts did more than just blow things around and shake trees, as one such tree fell on top of a home in Middletown shortly after 2:00 pm Thursday.
Middletown Township Fire Department said that they were dispatched to Robin Court after the homeowner reported that there was a tree on top of their house.
MTFD Second Assistant Chief John Waltz and the company investigated the damage and the home was deemed uninhabitable.
Chief Waltz said that the home's utilities were isolated by New Jersey Natural Gas, Jersey Central Power and Light.
There are no firefighter or other injuries being reported.
