This Could Be the Perfect Spot for a Roller Skating Rink in Ocean County, NJ

Since Jackson Skate Center is closing, we won't have a roller skating rink in Ocean County.

There is a rumor that maybe a new one will be built in the same location, but we'll have to wait and see. I can't seem to get answers to that. If you know anything about a new one being built, please email me sue.moll@townsquaremedia.com.

So, I was thinking this could be the perfect spot for it. We definitely need at least one in Ocean County. Personally, we need more than just one in Ocean County. But, we need one.

The perfect spot would be in the Kohl's Plaza in Toms River. That old supermarket that's been empty for years. It's large enough and has perfect parking. That building has been empty so long.

When asking you what you want in that location, one of the very popular responses was a roller skating rink. I know Wegman's was the number one choice. It seems like a supermarket would fit the best there, but with the size of the building, I think a roller skating rink or center would be perfect.

It's been sad news since hearing the news this weekend that the Jackson Skating Center will be closing at the beginning of October. We all had so many great memories from the skating center. I just loved it there so much. So many birthday parties, date nights, afternoon skate hours, and so much more.
