We love to report when New Jersey Is represented on a list that we want to be on. This is a story about a list we absolutely should have made, and shockingly didn't.

There are a lot of things we are proud of here in the Garden State. Near the top of that list, and in many cases right at the top, is the pride we feel for our waterfront dining.

Here's the bad news. Our amazing, delicious, and stunning waterfront restaurants just got disrespected. It's a case of disrespect by omission.

There is a list floating around that was put together by Lovefood that lists America's best coastal restaurants. You would think the question would not be if we made the list, but how many times we made that list.

The answer to that question is, unfortunately, none. That is correct. There are exactly zero Jersey Shore restaurants on the list of the best coastal restaurants in America, and that infuriates me.

I am usually a big fan of Lovefood, but this one hurts. How is it possible that we don't make this list of 30?

We can all rattle a handful right off the top of our heads. There is one that I just can't believe didn't make this list, and that's Rooney's Oceanfront in Long Branch. The view doesn't get more beautiful than that.

But it's not just Rooney's. We have a lot that could and should make this pretty prestigious list. We're going to let this one slide, but we hope to see the Jersey Shore well represented on the next list.

Check these restaurants out. You'll be glad you did.

I actually came up with 5 restaurants here at the Jersey Shore that I think should definitely make the list. Let me know what you think.
