The One New Jersey Wildlife Center Where You Can Feed Bats
Have You Ever Wanted To Feed Bats in New Jersey?
When we were young during the summer we would sit out in front of our house at night and we would throw a tennis ball up in the air and then watch for bats. The bats would pick up the ball in the air with their "radar" and dive for the ball, probably thinking it was some type of bug and they were looking for a late-night snack. We always thought it was cool when the bats would fly down and we'd see them. Our parents on the other hand were not as amused. They would always tell us the bats were gonna get stuck in our hair and we'd have to have our heads shaved lol. Needless to say no one had their head shaved, but we loved the bats.
If you have ever wanted to get up close and personal with bats we have a place in New Jersey where you can actually feed these nocturnal flying animals. According to Google AI Overview, "Bats are mammals that are the only ones capable of sustained flight."
If you want to experience real live bats then you want to visit the Wildlife Conservation and Education Center in Garfield, New Jersey.
According to Only In Your State, "This non-profit animal exhibit holds hundreds of rescued animals and is dedicated to educating guests about some of nature’s most misunderstood critters. Its curator, Joseph D’Angeli, has dedicated his life to the study of bats and this educational center even offers a unique animal encounter in New Jersey where you can get up close and personal with the little guys and give them a treat!"
Do you think you would want to see bats up close and maybe feed them?
