Teen’s car found abandoned on bridge, and she’s missing for days

NEPTUNE CITY — What happened to Sarah Stern?

Stern's cousin, Lauren Bahr, said an Oldsmobile driven by the 19-year-old from Neptune City was found abandoned on the Belmar Bridge around 3 a.m. on Saturday morning. A search of the Shark River Inlet that included the State Police aviation and marine unit turned up nothing, and the search ended on Sunday, according to Bahr.

Bahr said Stern is an "aspiring artist" who graduated from Neptune City High School and had attended Brookdale Community College, but was not presently a student.

She said Stern was the "nicest, sweetest person you would ever know," who did not have any major issues in her life.
