Take The Family On These 2019 New Jersey Train Rides With Santa
Thanks to railroad tracks criscrossing the Garden State, there are a number of great ways to ride the rails with Santa this holiday season.
With rides that include great experiences for the whole family, including of course a visit from Santa himself, there are a number of places throughout New Jersey where you can hop on a Christmas train.
Here's the 2019 list of Santa trains in New Jersey:
The Christmas Express with Santa Claus - Wall
The New Jersey Museum of Transportation at Allaire State Park hosts rides with Santa starting the weekend following Thanksgiving and continuing through the weekend before Christmas.
Daytime rides are on the following dates - November 29 & 30, December 1st, 7th & 8th, 14th & 15th, 21st & 22nd
There are also evening rides on select dates, including - December 7, 14 & 21
DiDonato's Magical Holiday Express - Hammonton
Donato's Family Fun Center on the White Horse Pike in Hammonton has a whole Christmas experience going right now, with walk-through light displays, a train ride, and more.
Here are the 2019 dates - November 8th - 10th, 15th - 17th, 22nd - 24th, 29th, and 30th December 1st, and December 6 - 23rd
The Polar Express - Whippany
One of New Jersey's official Polar Express rides, themed after the classic book and 2004 movie of the same name, runs out of Whippany, with trains now running almost every day (with the exception of two Mondays, December 2nd and 9th, and Christmas Day) through December.
North Pole Express - Flemington
The Black River Railroad Historical Trust just behind Liberty Village in Flemington also starts welcoming passengers the weekend following Thanksgiving and runs on the following dates:
November 29th & 30th, December 1st, 7th & 8th, 14th & 15th, 20th - 23rd, 27th & 28th.
The Polar Express - Phillipsburg
Another train ride themed after The Polar Express, the New York Susquehanna & Western Technical & Historical Society is running trains from the Delaware River Railroad Excursions station in Phillipsburg.
Here are the 2019 dates - November 29tth & 30th, December 1st, 6th - 8th 13th - 15th, 20th - 22nd.
