WHYY is reporting that there is a new baby flamingo hatched at The Philadelphia Zoo, on July 12th, and it's the first one in more than 20 years! If you were confused about why the baby flamingo is grey, WHYY explains that it will get its pink color over time. The article also mentions that the zoo is waiting to find the flamingo's sex, height, and weight, but you can vote on the baby's name! The name options are Rosado, Alto, and Flaco. You can vote up until Sunday by clicking here.

The Philadelphia Zoo is open to the public again, so you can take a day trip to see this little cutie! It's always a lot of fun to bring the family out to the zoo - I always loved checking out the animals as a kid (and even now). Remember, you will need to make a reservation in order to visit the zoo. Face masks are also required for anyone ages 2 and up. Click here for more information.

The Philadelphia Zoo is located at 3400 W. Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104. The zoo is open daily from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.

If you're unable to get to the zoo to see the flamingo in person, WHYY mentions that the baby will be shown on the zoo's Facebook live today at 2 pm. Check out the announcement from the zoo's Facebook page below:

How cute is this little guy or girl?
