After a long waiting filled with twists and turns between the NJSEA and the New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association, the NJTHA is finally awarded a five year lease for Monmouth Park Race Track.

Monmouth Park Race Track's fate is safe at least for another year, and it's home town of Oceanport is going to make sure it capitalizes to make it a tourist destination.

It’s looking like good news for Monmouth Park Race Track. With negotiations reported to be positive, the horse racing destination has a good chance of being around for one more season as state officials, the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authorities, and the New Jersey Thoroughbred organization put together a deal through the weekend.
