Division of Taxation says refunds from tax returns filed electronically will be paid in around four weeks. Paper returns could take three times longer.

It's been a little more than a month since New Jersey Congressman Scott Garrett became the first Representative in the Northeast to co-sponsor the Fair Tax bill, and local supporters are keeping that momentum going.

The income tax deadline is fast approaching and scammers are working overtime. Ocean County residents are being cautioned that scam artists may call them on the telephone, pretending to be IRS agents or police officers.  The caller then claims that the intended victim owes money to the agency and demands immediate payment via credit/debit card or money transfer...

This should come as no surprise, but New Jersey residents don't want to see their taxes increased according to a new poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University's PublicMind.
