Food Banks

Fulfill, formerly the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, is one of the food banks across New Jersey who will be benefitting from legislation Governor Murphy signed into law on Wednesday.

The bills include a funds for businesses, food banks, welfare benefits and lost wages. Senate President Steve Sweeney says more are sure to follow.

The state Assembly passed 29 bills Monday in an emergency session organized to respond to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Since 2012, Duke Farms in Hillsborough has dedicated five acres of its property as a Community Garden, open to the public, through which a portion of the crops grown are donated to Somerset County organizations in need.
