Starting today and ahead of summer, NJ Transit is offering new weekday, one-seat ride service on the North Jersey Coast Line (NJCL) to the Jersey Shore. Six trains are operating from Bay Head to New York and New York to Bay Head without stopping in Long Branch.

Celebrity Scientologist John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston were in Bay Head on Saturday for the dedication of Church Founder L. Ron Hubbard's former home at 666 East Avenue, according to Borough Mayor William Curtis.
