Suspect Wanted for Alleged Assault and Burglary in Brick Township

Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted for allegedly stabbing a Brick Township homeowner in the leg during a burglary Saturday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20's, standing between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 with a thin build.

The suspect was inside the home in the area of Stephen and Burnt Tavern Roads around  4 p.m. when he was confronted by the homeowner, according to police.

Police said the suspect fled in a medium-sized SUV with a New Jersey license plate beginning with Y8L-. The vehicle also had white or chrome on the bottom portion of the vehicle, according to police.
