In the early afternoon hours on Sunday in the parking lot of Big Lots on Van Zile Road in Brick Township the victim was walking out of a store when she noticed the suspect sitting on a bench and talking with someone on the phone, asking for a ride. Stinson allegedly then approached the victim and told her that her vehicle had been hit by another car. Stinson then allegedly asked to use the victim’s phone as she was inspecting her car for damage because his was not working. The victim agreed.

The victim then asked for her phone back and that’s when things started to get heated between the two. Stinson allegedly refused to give the phone back, so the victim tried to grab the phone and that’s when the struggle started to ensue. During the scuffle, Stinson is accused of trying to grab the victim’s pocket book. Noticing this, the victim started screaming. Stinson let go of the pocketbook and started running with the victim’s phone towards Laurel Square Plaza.

Brick Township authorities were able to get a full confession from Stinson and charged him with Robbery and Theft.

Stinson was released on a summons.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
