LAKEHURST – The Lakehurst Police Department charged a resident with Possession of Heroin and Concealing Evidence on Friday.

Scott W. Parker, 22, of Lakehurst was charged after police were called to a local residence in the town for an unwanted person inside.

Officers identified Parker and Thea M. Deehan when they arrived. Both Parker and Deehan were found to have active warrants for their arrest.

After further investigation, officers found multiple wax folds containing suspected heroin, a hypodermic needle, a crack pipe, and other drug paraphernalia. It was determined that everything found on the scene belonged to Parker.

Parker and Deehan were transported to the Lakehurst Police Headquarters for processing.

Parker was charged with Possession of Heroin, Hindering by Concealment of Evidence, Possession of a Hypodermic Needle, two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Being Under The Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Parker is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

Deehan was processed and released pending a mandatory court date.

Suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
