Flu Season is here - the Ocean County Health Department wants you to stay safe with these flu facts. 

The OCHD states that the biggest misconception about the flu shot is that it can make you sick. While the shot itself can't make you sick, the OCHD explains other factors can, including being exposed to the flu before getting the shot, respiratory illnesses with similar symptoms to the flu, catching a different strain of the flu from the one in the vaccine, and how well the shot may have worked.

Have you been wondering if you should get a flu shot yearly? The OCHD says yes - if you are 6 months are older, you should be vaccinated each year.
