Look: Insider News on When Beloved Pumpkin Spice Lattes Could Return to Starbucks
If you've been craving a pumpkin spice latte all year long, this news is for you. The moment you'll be able to taste the delectable fall-themed drink could be here sooner than you think.
This is my actual reaction whenever I order my first Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks.
How long has the Pumpkin Spice Latte been around at Starbucks?
Before I spill the beans on the rumored PSL 2021 release date, I thought it would be fun to do a deep dive on the beloved drink. According to Starbucks' website, they added Pumpkin Spice Lattes to its menus in 2003, which means the latte is celebrating its 18th birthday this year! It's important to note that that link is to an article from last year that says the PSL is back - we're not quite there yet.
What kind of other Pumpkin treats will Starbucks offer?
There's no word on the official menu yet, but Starbucks is also known for its Pumpkin Cold Brew, Pumpkin scone, and Pumpkin cream cheese muffin (thanks for the reminder on these, Hip2Save!)
Okay, okay. When will the Pumpkin Spice Latte return to Starbucks for 2021?
Here's the deal - I first heard the rumor from a friend and fellow PSL enthusiast, and I want to note that Starbucks has NOT commented or confirmed this yet. So for now, it's all hearsay. I was told that PSLs will be back at Starbucks on Tuesday, August 24th. And when I googled the news to see if anyone else had any info, Hip2Save listed the same date and said they confirmed it with Starbucks employees.
If the rumors are true, rejoice Pumpkin Lovers! We'll be able to enjoy our favorite drinks in less than 1 month. And before I get looked at sideways, I do want to mention I am not one who wants to rush the Summer either. I just love being able to enjoy my favorite flavor a little bit earlier.
