Stabbing and Shooting in Neptune during Unrelated Incidents
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office is investigating two unrelated incidents involving a stabbing and a shooting in Neptune over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, according to authorities.
Neptune police Lt. Michael McGhee said a young adult male suffered non-life threatening injuries after being knifed around 8 pm Sunday during a large gathering on Fisher Avenue.
About three hours later, around 11 pm, McGhee said two people suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot near Myrtle and Stratford Avenues, during a large gathering in that area. They were being treated at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
