Maybe this Saint Paddy's Day, you are planning to celebrate, but you are not interested in the hangover the next day. There are many reasons to say "no, not this year". Maybe it's for health reasons, maybe you are driving, maybe you just don't feel like "drinking." Whatever the reason, if you like the taste of beer, there are many new non-alcoholic beers today that you can enjoy.

I don't drink "alcohol". I'm over 60, and for my health, I have stopped drinking alcohol, but I enjoy the taste of beer, so I started enjoying non-alcoholic beers. Now, when they first came out, they were not that tasty. They were more like flat 3-day-old beers leftover at the party in a solo cup, lol.

Today's non-alcoholic beers are good, and I have put together my list of the Top 5 non-alcoholic beers you can enjoy this St. Patrick's Day and all year round. If you think this sounds like a bad plan to you, no worries, you "do you" as they like to say. Everybody has their own tastes.

5. In full disclosure, I have not been the biggest Heineken fan in the past, but this one is growing on me. It's also the most popular non-alcoholic beer at bars and restaurants. Usually, when I go out and ask for the non-alcoholic beer that's on the "beer list," Heineken 0 ends up being the one. If you are a Heineken fan, I think you will like a cold glass of 0.

4. If you enjoy your Corona with a lime, then give their non-alcoholic version a try. It's good and not only non-alcoholic, but low in calories. As the label says, "The Finest Flavor".

3. One of the "new" beers on the non-alcoholic beer scene is Athletic. It is a great-tasting beer, and they have several versions. So if you wanna try this newcomer, I give it two thumbs up, and you'll see Athletic on more and more menus when going out.

2. This beer is really becoming popular in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. People want taste and fewer calories, and this beer, which is very light, provides both. I like it, and the non-alcoholic version is good, and fewer calories are a bonus.

1. This is my favorite. It's the iconic Guinness Draught! This beer has all the creamy taste as the original, and it comes without the alcohol. Side by side, Guinness brewed a non-alcoholic beer that mirrors the original taste. I wish more bars and restaurants would stock this because it's the best. If you were never a fan of dark beers, then you won't like this one, but if you love classic Irish Dry Stouts, then you will love this one. I'll be enjoying this on March 17th, Slainte.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
