To wash or not to wash? That is the question…

Do you wash your car? Or are you like me, and wait for a good heavy rain to come along?

As a rule, I never wash my car.  I'll hope that the nice service department folks will clean it for me after my car's been in the shop.  It's kind of like a spa day for my four wheeled friend.   Other than that, it's on its own.

Of course some people NEED to keep their vehicle clean to make a good impression at work (like a real estate agent, or salesperson). But I'm a DJ. Who cares what my car looks like? I just don't feel like I need to have it shine all of the time.

But I know that lots of people do. I see them lined up every weekend at the car wash, or in the Do-It-Yourself bays scrubbing away. And now that Winter is finally over, it probably is a good idea to get all of that road salt and grime washed off. I'm told it will help prolong the life of your car by preventing corrosion. It may even improve safety on the roads by increasing your visibility.

If you're one of the many listeners that likes to keep their car neat and clean, please tell me why I need to reconsider my 'downpour dirt removal' strategy, and let me know where the best car wash in Ocean County can be found.
