Southwest Airlines Leaving Newark Airport

Bad news for Southwest Airline lovers - the airline will stop flying out of Newark Airport later this year.

Those of us still booking Summer vacations don't have anything to worry about - the changes won't take effect until November. Southwest flights will still be available in Philadelphia International Airport, and LaGuardia Airport.

In a blog earlier this month, Justin Louis pointed out that it does take at least an hour to travel from Ocean County to the bigger airports. So, if you're crazy about Southwest, you'll only need to add about a half-hour to your travel time since Philadelphia is a little further away than Newark.
